Developed in collaboration with Atlas Copco and training professionals, the Drill Jumbo Personal Simulator puts you at the controls of a modern drill in a virtual underground mine (English or German versions available).

In underground hardrock mining and tunneling operations, the twin boom drill jumbo is your productivity driver. And that's why it's so important to operate such equipment as efficiently as possible.

Better drilling precision means improved drilling parallelism, and reduced drilling time. Not to mention less overbreak, which in which in turn reduces the cost of rock reinforcement, loading, and hauling.

However, there is an emerging gap between the sophistication of modern twin boom drill jumbos and the capability of their operators. And that's because learning to do things right, or improving the skills that you have, is time-consuming and requires an actual production environment.

In fact, instructors must typically split their time between training and operating so that overall production doesn't suffer too much while new operators come up to speed.

The Personal Drill Jumbo Simulator can help you do better in a way that's completely safe, inexpensive, and available whenever you want and wherever you are!

Two different simulator control options are offered. The RCS "Replica" Controls mimic the look-and-feel of Atlas Copco's new generation "Rig Control System", using modified PC joysticks.

And to help train operators of older "Direct hydraulic Control System" equipment, Simlog can also provide DCS "Replica" Controls. e-mail us for information.

And there's no need to worry about supervising the simulator-based training, because simulation results are automatically saved on your PC's hard disk for you and your trainee to review later when you have time.

To make the record-keeping even easier, simulation results can also be saved in a single database, thanks to Simulation Manager. Using this helper product, you can create individual "accounts" for your simulator users with distinct login names and passwords, and create "classes" of simulator users too.

In Evaluation Mode, there are just a few simulation exercises and they are time-limited. Simulation results cannot be saved in Evaluation Mode, so we provide sample simulation results as part of the complete electronic documentation.

US$2,795 for the Personal Simulator Kit which includes the RCS Simulator Controls, a CD-ROM with simulation software ready to go in "Evaluation Mode", and installation instructions (shipping and handling charges extra).

US$4,500 for the commercial software license. This is a one time fee, and there are no restrictions on the number of people that you can train.
