What about something for "home study"?

Sorry, we do not offer "home study" versions of our professional training simulation software, so we have no special pricing for "home study". That's because simulator-based training can only take you so far. After that, you need to "graduate" to the controls of real heavy equipment. (The fact is, no one's going to hire you to operate real heavy equipment just because you've mastered simulation exercises.)

My people don't believe in simulation for training. What can I do?

Simulator-based operator training is a new idea in the heavy equipment world, so people are sometimes skeptical, even suspicious. So let them spend time evaluating our product. That is why we created our Free Evaluation! Your people will soon discover that this is serious software featuring physics-based simulation and a special instructional design that "guarantees" real training help. See simulator research and success stories.

Is the simulation software easy to use? (I don't know much about computers.)

Yes. We are using Microsoft Windows vocabulary so menu names are easy to understand, and you will feel comfortable with our user interface in no time. Complete on-line documentation is just a mouse-click away via the "Help" menu.

Are the simulation results easy to understand?

Yes. Everything is spelled out for you including date, time, simulation module, number of exercises completed, and even the average/minimum/maximum values for each performance indicator. We also provide sample results as part of the product documentation! If desired, Simulation Manager lets you automatically track results in a database, by trainee.

How can I decide when simulation results are "good enough"?
We suggest that you look to your own experienced operators to develop company-specific benchmarks. But if you need help getting started, we can provide some guidelines based on data that customers have shared with us.

I'm already so busy and I have no time to supervise simulator-based work. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Simulation results are saved on your PC for you to review whenever you have time, in the form of files (with the date and time) or entries in a special database if you are also using our Simulation Manager.

I'm not interested in operator training. Do you have something "just for fun"?

We have only one kind of product and only one kind of pricing. But if you would just like to learn about mobile cranes, tower cranes, earth-moving equipment, etc., then visit the comprehensive How Stuff Works Web site. There you can find lots of information including images, video clips, simple animations, and even an "over-the-Web" skid-steer simulator.
